Public transport
to Skanderborg |
Railways - Skanderborg station is on the mainline
between Århus and Copenhagen - 15 minutes south of Århus
and approx 3 hours west of Copenhagen. Intercity rail
connections hourly plus local and regional connections.
Motorways - Skanderborg is within 4½ hours drive
of any town on the mainland (Jutland), and the islands
of Fyn (Fünen) and Sjælland (Zeeland). Journey to
Copenhagen takes approx. 4 hours by car (over Fyn) and
slightly less by car ferry from Århus.
Air - closest airports are Tirstrup and Billund,
both within 1½ hours drive. Regular domestic flights to
Copenhagen, many direct flights to international
destinations. |

transport at Skanderborg railway station.

Hotels |
There are several good hotels and inns in and around
Skanderborg, and many hotels in Århus. Most hotels and
inns have a restaurant - usually open for orders until
21:00
