Here are a
selection of our most useful test patterns - digitally drawn and
colour- compatible with the HD digital and SD PAL and 701 colour
gamuts. Besides being useful on the editors timeline, these
patterns are also handy for system alignment, monitor adjustment
and even checking the alignment of computer monitors, both CRT
and LED.

HEADERS FOR SD & HD Editing timelines and VTR mastering
The following
full resolution SD and HD media files in Quicktime movie format
are useful headers for addition to the start of a timeline that
subsequently will be played to tape. The headers provide 15
seconds of the EBU / Phillips Test Card G, with 5 seconds each
for audio identification of both, left and right tracks,
followed by 1 minute and five seconds split red/EBU colour bar
with a stereo 1KHz reference tone at the digital reference level
of -18Dbm and a left channel intermittent audio ident every 3
seconds, followed by a 40 second countdown clock with mute audio
except for six sync bloops at -20 to -15 seconds before
programme start. The last four seconds of the countdown are
black and mute.
